McBRIDE, Julian Francis age 92, passed away April 1, 2009. Preceded in death by parents Dennis J. and Otillia J. McBride; wife, Ann Murphree McBride; brothers, James, Jerome and John McBride; sister, Anne Marie Archie and brother-in-law, George Archie. Survived by loving nieces and nephews, Jacque, Dennis (Laura), Tommy (Tricia), and Jimmy McBride; Nancy Eanes, Jody Hupka (Spike), Mike Murphree (Lana), Gary Murphree (Melba), Marci Murphree; sister-in-law Thelma McBride; numerous great nieces and nephews and special friend Louise Finney. “Junie”, as his friends knew him was retired from The Nashville Bridge Co. Mr. McBride was one of the founding members and Past President of the Old Timers Baseball Association; and was named Mr. Baseball in 1992. He was a member of St. Phillip Mens Club, and The Serra Club. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2009 at Assumption Catholic Church; Father Joseph McMahon, Celebrant. Visitation will be at the funeral home, 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2009 with Father Bernard Niedergeses reciting the Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
